 25-7-2025: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over North Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to continue to move west-northwestwards and further intensify into a Depression over West Bengal, India and Bangladesh Coasts during next 18 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to cross Genetic West Bengal, North Odisha, Jharkhand and adjoining North Chhattisgarh during next 2 days. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Ayeyarwady Region, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, fairly widespread in Kachin and Kayin States, scattered in Mandalay and Bago Regions, Chin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mon State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Yay (6.61) inches, Thaton (5.20)inches, Chaungsone (4.88)inches, Paung (3.94)inches, Kyeikkhame (3.78)inches, Kyeikmayaw(3.56)inches and Hkamti (2.16)inches and Hlaingbwe (2.01)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong in the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 14th July, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, Kachine and Mon States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kayin State, scattered in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times off and along Mon - Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in the Northern Myanmar areas.
