23-11-2025: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and intensify into a depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea on 24-11-2025. Thereafter, it is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm over the Southeast Bay during subsequent 48 hours.Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, isolated in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Northern Shan, Rakhine and Kayin States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above February average temperatures in Upper Sagaing and Magway Regions, Southern Shan and Chin States, (3°C) above February average temperatures in Mandalay Region, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (5°C) in Thipaw, (7°C) each in Namsam and Mongyang and (8°C) each in Heho and Hakha. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Myitkyina (1.18) inches, Launglon (0.67)inch, Machanbaw and Mogaung (0.59)inch each, Putao and Bhamo (0.43)inch each, Kanbalu (0.35)inch, Dawei (0.16)inch and Monyin and Maungdaw (0.12)inch each.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the Central Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18th February, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
