SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Northern Shan and Chin States and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions. Weather has been partly cloudy in Bago Region, Southern Shan and Rakhine States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above February average temperatures in Lower Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, Northern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States, (3°C) above February average temperature in Mandalay Region and about February average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (6°C) each in Heho and Loilin, (7°C) in Mongyang, (8°C) each in Thipaw, Pinlaung, Hakha, Falam and Tiddim. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Ramthlo (1.61)inches, Tiddim (0.75)inch, Hakha (0.67)inch, Falam (0.47)inch, Tongzan (0.39)inch, Myitsone (0.35)inch, Vaar (0.28)inch, Tamu (0.24)inch, Muse (0.20)inch, Bhamo and Homalin (0.16)inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the Central Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th February, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State, isolated in Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Eastern Shan and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be generally fair in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayah State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Northern Shan and Chin States.
