SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing , Bago and Yangon Regions, Shan and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mandalay Region and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Hkamti (3.58)inches, Naypyitaw(Laiway) (2.56)inches, Paletwa and Sittwe (2.48)inches each, Zaung Tu (2.09)inches, Theinzayet (2.05)inches, Phyarpon (2.01)inches, Yangon  (Kabaaye) (1.93)inches, Zalun (1.77)inches, Myaungmya (1.73)inches, Naypyitaw  (Pyinmana and Airport) (1.65)inches each.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 17th August, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, scattered in Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions, Chin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan, Kayah and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Shan States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Decrease of rain in the Taninthayi Region and Mon State.
