28-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved North- Northwestwards and is crossing near Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is centered at about 805 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 225 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India). It is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and across eastern parts of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reach over the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.  Weather is a generally fair over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Naypyitaw and Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Kayah State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and BagoRegions,Kachinand Chin States. Weather has been generally fair in Lower Sagaing and Yangon Regions, Kayinand Mon States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were(3°C) to (4°C) above April normal temperatures in Taninthayi Region, (Southern and Eastern) Shan and Mon States, (2°C) above April normal temperatures in Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions, Northern Shan, Chin, Kayah and Kayin States and about April normal temperature in the remaining Regions and States.The significant day temperatures were (44°C) in Chauk, (43°C) each in Magway,Taungdwingyi, Pauk, Taunggu and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Yametin (1.42)inches, Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri) (1.22)inches, Laiway and Naypyitaw(Pobbathiri) (1.02)inches each, Naypyitaw(Otarathiri) (0.59)inch and Naypyitaw Airport(Ela) (0.35)inch.

BAY INFERENCE:Weather is cloudy over theSouthwest Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th April, 2019:Rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan and Kayah States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Upper Myanmar Areas.
