BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm "FANI" over Northwest Bay and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northeastwards. It is centered at about (80)miles South-Southwest of Puri, (125)miles East- Northeast of Vishakhapatnam and (220)miles South-Southwest of Digha(India). It is forecast to move North-Northeastwards. Weather is cloudy over the North Bay and West central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 3rd May, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, scattered in Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and fairly widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40-45)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (10-13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered to fairly widespread in Upper Sagiang and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.
