Weather Forecast for 2015 Late Monsoon Season

Late Monsoon Period

            Late Monsoon period is from 1st September to  withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from the Whole country.

Withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon

            Southwest monsoon is likely to withdrawal in:

  1. Northern Myanmar Areas during (11-16) of September
  2. Central Myanmar Areas during (17-22) of September
  3. Deltaic Areas during (23-27) of September
  4. The Whole country during  28th September to 3rd October

Bay of Bengal Condition

Out of (4) Low Pressure Areas, (2) may further intensify into the Depression in the Bay of Bengal.  Monsoon is likely weak to moderate in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain Condition

Rain will be expected above normal in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, below normal in Lower Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kayah State and about Normal rain in the remaining Regions and States.
