It is likely continue to move Eastwards and gradually weaken during next 12 hours. According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DATWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved Northwestwards and is crossing near Tricomalee(Srilanka). It is centered at about 805 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 240 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry (India). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and continue to cross eastern part of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reached over the North Tamil Nadu and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th May, 2019:  Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Region, Shan State, scattered in Magway, Bago and Yangon Regions, Kayah State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Mandalay Region and Mon State.
