28-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved North- Northwestwards and is crossing near Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is centered at about 805 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 225 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India). It is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and across eastern parts of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reach over the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.  Weather is a generally fair over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 7th June, 2019:  Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago Region, Southern Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Chin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts and slight elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-6) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts and (3-4) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts.
