2-9-2025: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely  to further intensify during next 24 hours. Thereafter, it  is likely  to move  west-northwestwards and cross Odisha, India, during next 48 hours. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Water level forecast for Second (10) days of September 2015

The water levels of Ayeyarwady river are forecast to rise above the present water levels about  (4-5)  feet  at  Myitkyina, Bhamo and Katha,  about (2-3) feet at Mandalay, Sagaing,Myinmu , Pakokku , Nyaung Oo, Chauk, Minbu and  Magway,and about (1-2)feet at  Aunglan,  Pyay, Seiktha, Hinthada  and Zalun .

 The water levels of Chindwin river are forecast to fall below the present water levels about (4-5) feet at Hkamti ,  Homalin and Phaung Pyin, and about (5-7) feet at Mawlaik, Kalewa ,Mingin and Monywa.
