28-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved North- Northwestwards and is crossing near Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is centered at about 805 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 225 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India). It is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and across eastern parts of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reach over the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.  Weather is a generally fair over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Southern Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Putao (3.59)inches, Launglon (2.56)inches, Khayan (2.44)inches, Myitkyina (2.36)inches, Belin (2.32)inches, Kyungyangon (2.13) inches, Kyeikmayaw (2.09)inches, Yangon (Kaba-Aye) (1.73)inches, Katha and Pinlaebu (1.65)inches each, Hlaingbwe (1.61)inches and Manaung (1.54)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs MST today, a low pressure area has formed over Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st June, 2019:  Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region, Southern Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Rakhine and Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA:  Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8 -11)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
