1-12-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal, North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts almost stationary and it is centered at about 750 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 75 Nautical miles Northeast of Puducherry (India) and 20 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai(India). It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts(India) and gradually weaken into a Depression during next 12 hrs. Weather is generally fair over the Andaman Sea, cloudy over the Northwest Bay and Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and  strong over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 14th July, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be in isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfall in Naypyitaw, Rakhine States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Chin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8 –10) feet Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts and about (4 – 7) feet Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon.
