1-12-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal, North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts almost stationary and it is centered at about 750 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 75 Nautical miles Northeast of Puducherry (India) and 20 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai(India). It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts(India) and gradually weaken into a Depression during next 12 hrs. Weather is generally fair over the Andaman Sea, cloudy over the Northwest Bay and Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the North Bay of Bengal still persists. It is forecast to intensify during next (48)hrs. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 06thAugust, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be  widespread in  the whole country and  regionally heavyfalls in     Mgway ,Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing ,Kachin and Chin states Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:  Frequent squalls with rough to very rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40-45) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (10– 15) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:  Strong to vigorous monsoon.
