SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Magway, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago and Taninthayi Regions and Chin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Gwa (8.94)inches, Pathein (6.85)inches, Kataingti (6.71)inches, Hpa-an (Agro-met) (6.65)inches, Yay (6.61)inches, Thaton (6.57)inches , Shan-Ywar-Thit (6.52)inches, Kamamaung (6.30)inches, Hlaingbwe and Kyeikkhame (5.98)inches each, Paung (5.91)inches, Kya-In-Seikkyi (5.82)inches, Mudon (5.24)inches, Shwegwin (5.08)inches, Paing Kyone (4.60)inches, Myaungmya (4.13)inches, Mawlamyine and Kyeikmayaw (4.01)inches each, Thandwe (3.59)inches, Shwekyin, Hmawbi and Belin (3.35)inches each, Hainggyigyun, Mindat and Changsone (3.30)inches each, Launglon (3.23)inches, Saw (1.99)inches and Chauk (1.97) inches.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the North Bay of Bengal has moved over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and has intensified into a depression. It is centered at about (70) miles South-Southeast of Digha and (85)miles Southeast of Blasore (India). Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 07th August, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in the whole country with regionally heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions and Chin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Frequent squalls with rough to very rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40-45) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (10– 15)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Strong monsoon.
