25-10-2025:According to the observations at 11:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved Westwards and further intensified into a depression. It is centered at about 330 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 530 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Chennai(India), 540 Nautical miles Southeast of Kakinada (India). It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may intensify into a deep depression on 26-10-2025 and Cyclonic Storm may form over the Southwest Bay and adjoining over Westcentral Bay of Bengal on 27-10-2025. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay, partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, Southwest monsoon has been withdrawn from the Central Myanmar areas. Weather has been partly cloudy in Magway Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Yangon Regions, Shan State, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Kayin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Taninthayi Region and Mon State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Longlone (6.93)inches, Paung (5.39) inches, Chaungsone (4.76)inches,  Dawei (4.53) inches, Mudon (4.41)inches  and Mawlamyine (3.24) inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy in the North Bay, monsoon is strong in the Andaman Sea and South Bay, weak elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 25th September, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, Kachin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine and Kayin States, scattered in Bago Region and Chin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon – Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach ( 30 - 35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar areas.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Mon State.
