SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Magway Region and Chin State, fairly widespread in Nay Pyi Taw and Mandalay Regions, Rakhine and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mandalay Region, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Sagaing Region, Shan and Rakhine States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kyaukmae (4.25)inches, Mawlamyine (4.21)inches, Paung (4.13)inches, Moekok (4.09)inches, Kyeikmayaw (3.78)inches, Katha and Chaungsone (3.74)inches each, Gwa (3.58)inches, Kawkayeik (3.23)inches, Hpa-an (3.11)inches and Shwebo (1.96)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong in the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weather is partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 11th October, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region and Chin State, fairly widespread in Nay Pyi Taw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayah and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayin and Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at time Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35 - 40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
