SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Mandalay Region and Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Magway and Taninthayi Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Yay (10.00)inches, Gwa (9.37)inches, Ngathaichaung (7.91)inches, Kyeikmayaw (6.65)inches, Hinthada and Hlaingbwe (5.55) inches, Kyeikkhame (5.28)inches, Chaungsone (5.20)inches, Zalun (4.92)inches, Launglong and Nyauntone (4.80)inches each, Mawlamyine (4.72)inches, Maungdaw (4.69)inches, Pathein and Zaung Tu  (4.17)inches each, Yangon (Northern Dagon) (4.09)inches, Thandwe and Dawei (4.06)inches each.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 13th June, 2016: Rain will be scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan (Eastern and Southern) State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region, Northern Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Chin States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:  Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h.
