SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Eastern Shan and Kayan States, scattered in Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Magway Region, Kachin and Shan (South and North) States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine and Mon States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Pathein (7.17)inches, Kyeikkhame (5.24)inches, Hmawbi(Agro) (5.12)inches, Yay (5.00)inches, Myaungmya (4.17)inches, Thandwe (4.10)inches, Hainggyikyun (4.02)inches, Manaung (3.82)inches, Gwa (3.54)inches, Kyeikmayaw (3.50)inches, Coco Island (3.23)inches, Mudon and Chaungsone (3.15)inches each, Taungkok (3.07)inches and Myitkyina (2.76)inches. 

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 10th July, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kayah State, fairly widespread in Magway Region, Shan(East and South) State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Rakhine and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions and  Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough sea will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States.
