SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Naypyitaw and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Magway Regions, Southern Shan and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Hkamti (2.75)inches, Phyu (2.32)inches, Kungyangon (2.24)inches,  Khayan (2.04)inches, Launglone (2.01)inches, Thipaw (1.89) inches, Taunggyi (1.46)inches, Pyay and Bago (1.42)inches each.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 22nd July, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and  fairly widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuous of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Northern Shan States.
