 25-7-2025: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over North Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to continue to move west-northwestwards and further intensify into a Depression over West Bengal, India and Bangladesh Coasts during next 18 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to cross Genetic West Bengal, North Odisha, Jharkhand and adjoining North Chhattisgarh during next 2 days. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay

and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 30th July, 2016: Rain or

thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions,

Kachin, Eastern Shan, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in the

remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Taninthayi

Region and  Mon State, isolated heavy falls in Mandalay, Magway, Yangon

and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough sea will be experienced

Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon - Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind

speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in

Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon,

Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States.
