 25-7-2025: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over North Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to continue to move west-northwestwards and further intensify into a Depression over West Bengal, India and Bangladesh Coasts during next 18 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to cross Genetic West Bengal, North Odisha, Jharkhand and adjoining North Chhattisgarh during next 2 days. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE:According to the observations at (18:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area may form over East Central Bay of Bengal during next (24) hours commencing afternoon today.Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 31st July, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in (Northern and Eastern) Shan State, fairly widespread Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Kachin, Southern Shan and Chin States, widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Mon State, isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and  Taninthayi Regions,  Rakhine and Kayin States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough sea will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40-45) m.p.h.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in Coastal areas.
