BAY INFERENCE:to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over Northwest Bay of Bengal has silghtly moved to Northwestwards and it is centered at about (75)miles South-Southeast of Kolkata, India..Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bangal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 17th August, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay Region and Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing and Magway Regions, Kachin, Northern Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Ayeyarwady Region, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions. STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squalls with rough sea will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40-45) m.p.h.
