 25-7-2025: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over North Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to continue to move west-northwestwards and further intensify into a Depression over West Bengal, India and Bangladesh Coasts during next 18 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to cross Genetic West Bengal, North Odisha, Jharkhand and adjoining North Chhattisgarh during next 2 days. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE:  Monsoon is strong over the Andaman sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 9th September, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions and Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Southern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region,Kachin, Shan (North and East) States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States.Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at time Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.Surface wind speed in

squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar water.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon.
