BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th September, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in (Eastern and Northern) Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Sagaing and Magway Regions, Kachin and Southern Shan States, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine , Chin and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Mandalay Region, Kayin and Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
