SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Northern Shan State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan State, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Southern Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Mandalay and Bago Regions. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Shwegyin (3.43) inches, Machanbaw (2.72)inches, Hlaingbwe (2.60)inches, Madauk (2.36)inches, Hkamti (2.17)inches, Kawthong (2.05)inches, Madaya (1.85)inches, Myawady (1.77) inches, Paing Kyone (1.69)inches, Yangon(Mingaladon) (1.65)inches and Putao (1.42)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and feeble elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st September, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in (Eastern and Southern)Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Northern Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States and fairly widespread the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kayin and Mon States.
