BAY INFERENCE:  Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 23rd September, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Shan and Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago and Yangon Regions and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Chin, Rakhine and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuous of Thundery activities in the Central Myanmar Areas.
