SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kachin and Northern Shan States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region, Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago and Yangon Regions, Kayin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Myingyan (2.60)inches, Mawlaik and Dawei  (1.62)inches each, Myeik (1.30)inches, Phyu (1.26)inches, Kalay (1.06)inches and Sagaing (0.94)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Bay and Central Bay of Bengal and monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th October, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kachin and Northern Shan States, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and (Eastern and Southern) Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Rakhine and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Mandalay Region, Chin, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of thundery activities in Southern Myanmar areas.
