SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Rakhine State, fairly widespread in Magway and Yangon Regions, Kachin and Chin States, scattered in Bago, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing and Magway Regions. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Tamu (3.66)inches, Yangon(Kaba-Aye) (2.12)inches, Kyaukhtu (1.70) inches, Yangon(Mingaladon) (1.38)inches, Sittwe (1.18)inches and Kyaukpyu (1.14)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Bay and Central Bay of Bengal and monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12nd October, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Yangon Region, Chin and Rakhine States, scattered in Bago, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Eastern Shan, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Rakhine State.
