3-9-2025::  According to the observations at 17:30 hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the northwest Bay of Bengal off North Odisha coast still persists. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and cross North Odisha and adjoining Jharkhand and North Chhattisgarh, India during next 24 hrs.Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Depression

According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over  Westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved to North-Northeast wards. It is centered at about (120)miles Southeast of Vishakhapatnam (India), (215)miles South-Southwest of Paradip (India), (400)miles Southwest of Khepupara(Bangladesh). It is forecast to move Northeastwards towards Bangladesh coast during next (48)hrs.

It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the depression is coded yellow stage.

Position of depression, Center pressure and wind

Depression is located at Latitude (17.0) degree North and Longitude (85.2) degree East, Centre pressure of depression is (1004) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is about (30)miles per hour at (05:30) hrs MST today.

Next (24)hrs Forecast

It is forecast to further intensify during next (24)hrs.

General caution

Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h.

Trawlers, vessels and ships off and along Myanmar Coasts are advised to avert in condition of depression.
