SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Chin State, fairly widespread in Northern Shan and Rakhine States, scattered in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, kachin and Southern Shan States, isolated in Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mandalay and Magway Regions. Night temperatures were (3°C) below November average temperatures in Northern Shan State, (3°C) above November average temperatures in Kachin and Chin States and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (10°C) in Loilin, (13°C) in Hakha. The noteworthy amounts of rainfalls recorded were Pauk (3.19)inches, Meikhtila (3.07) inches, Thazi(Agro) (2.39)inches, Htilin (1.90)inches, Pyinoolwin (1.85)inches, Mahlaing(Agro) (1.07) inches and Saw (1.05)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over Westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved to East-Northeast wards and reached over Westcentral Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about (120)miles Southeast of Paradip (India), (250)miles South-Southwest of Kolkata (India), (250)miles Southwest of Khepupara(Bangladesh) and (320)miles Southwest of Sittwe(Myanmar). It is forecast to move Northeast wards and likely to cross Bangladesh coast during next (48)hrs. Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs MST today, Tropical depression over South China Sea has slowly moved West wards. It is forecast to cross Southern Vietnam Coasts during next (12)hours.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th November, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Rakhine State, scattered in Taninthayi Region, Kachin, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Chin State. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35 - 40)m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Sagaing Region, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States.
