3-9-2025::  According to the observations at 17:30 hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the northwest Bay of Bengal off North Odisha coast still persists. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and cross North Odisha and adjoining Jharkhand and North Chhattisgarh, India during next 24 hrs.Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Depression

          According to the observations at (11:30)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over  North Bay of Bengal has moved to East-Northeast wards. It is centered at about (120)miles Southwest of Chittagong(Bangladesh) and (90)miles South - Southeast of Khepupara (Bangladesh). It is forecast to move East-Northeast wards, weaken garadually and likely to cross Southeast Bangladesh coast during next (6)hrs.

          Depression is located at Latitude (20.5) degree North and Longitude (91.0) degree East, Centre pressure of depression is (1004) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is about (30)miles per hour at (11:30) hrs MST today.

 General caution

          Under the influence of the depression, rain or thundershowers are likely to be scattered to fairly widespread with isolated heavy falls in Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin, Chin and Northern Rakhine States during from this morning to next (48)hrs.

         Under the influence of the depression, Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) to (40)m.p.h. 

Advisory

       Under the influence of the depression, strong wind, heavy fall and landslide may occur during this time. Advisory for people living near high land areas care to stay to avoid from landslide danger. Vessels and ships off and along Rakhine Coasts are advised especially to avert in this condition.
