It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and may reach over the Eastcentral Bay and adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal and off and along Rakhine coasts and adjoining Deltic coasts. Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

          According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved North-northwest wards and is centered at about (650)miles South-Southeast of Vishakhapatnam (India), (675)miles South-Southeast of Gopalpur (India), (135)miles West of Car Nicobar (India) and (325)miles South-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar). It is forecast to move Northwest wards.

It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the depression is coded yellow stage.

 Position of depression, Center pressure and wind

          Depression is located at Latitude (9.5) degree North and Longitude (90.5) degree East, Centre pressure of depression is (1002) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is about (30) miles per hour at (05:30) hrs MST today.

Next (48)hrs Forecast

          It is forecast to further intensify into a cyclonic storm during next (48)hrs.

General caution

          Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon – Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h.
