BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the cyclonic storm “VARDAH” over Southeast Bay of Bengal moved northwards. It is centered at about (540)miles Southeast of Vishakhapatnam (India), (600)miles Southeast of Machilipatnam, (130)miles West-northwest of Port Blair (India) and (210)miles Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar). It is forecast to move Northwest wards.It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the cyclonic storm is coded yellow stage.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 9th December, 2016: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Strong easterly winds with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon – Taninthayi Coasts. Surface winds speed in easterly winds may reach (35)m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States.
