SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been generally fair in Naypitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (5°C) above January average temperature in Southern Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Yangon Regions, Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (4°C) each in Putao and Hakha, (8°C) each in Namsam, Heho and Naungcho.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd January, 2017: Rain are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region, Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Rain are likely to be fairly widespread in Shan and Kayah States, isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.
