SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures was (4°C) below January average temperatures in Kachin State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (0°C) in Hakha, (2°C) in Putao, (3°C) each in Namsam and Pinlaung, (4°C) in Heho.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th January, 2017: Rain are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
