24-2-2026 According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northweatwards and intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area and reached over the Southwest Bay of Bengal. It is likely continue to move West-Northwest during next 48 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 17th February, 2017: Likelihood of isolated light rain in Shan (East and South) State. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be generally fair in  Sagaing and Magway  Regions and Northern Shan,Rakhine, Kayin and Mon   States  and partly cloudy  in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Kachin, Shan and Kayah States.
