24-2-2026 According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northweatwards and intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area and reached over the Southwest Bay of Bengal. It is likely continue to move West-Northwest during next 48 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

A low pressure area may form over the Bay of Bengal. Weather will be generally fair  over  the North  Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy  over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the  Bay of Bengal.

Rain Condition and Rainy days

          Rain will be expected about  normal in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State and below normal rain in the remaining Regions and States.

Rainy days will be expected (3) to (4) days in  Taninthayi Region and Kachin State and (1) to (2) days in the remaining Regions and States.

Night Temperature

Night temperature will be above February average temperatures in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Mon State and about February  average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States.

Fog Condition

Foggy Days will be expected (5 to 7) days in Sagaing Region, Kachin and Shan States and (2 to 4) days in the remaining Regions and States in the morning.
