SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Taninthayi Region, isolated in Kachin State and weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing and Bago Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below February average temperatures in Kayah State and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (1°C) in Hakha, (3°C) in Namsam, (5°C) each in Pinlaung and Heho. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kawthong (0.27) inch and Dawei (0.12)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 1st March, 2017: Rains are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainly is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters.
