25-10-2025:According to the observations at 11:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved Westwards and further intensified into a depression. It is centered at about 330 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 530 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Chennai(India), 540 Nautical miles Southeast of Kakinada (India). It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may intensify into a deep depression on 26-10-2025 and Cyclonic Storm may form over the Southwest Bay and adjoining over Westcentral Bay of Bengal on 27-10-2025. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay, partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Depression

According to the observations at (10:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean  moved north­northwestwards . It is centered at about (695) Nautical miles Southwest of Coco-Island, (795) Nautical miles Southwest of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar), (100) Nautical miles East-Northeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka), (205) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Nagapattinam, (250)Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry and (285)Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai (India).

It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the depression is coded yellow stage.

            Depression is located at Latitude (9.0) degree North and Longitude (82.8) degree East, centre pressure of depression is (1004) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (32) miles per hour at (10:30)hrs M.S.T today.

During next (48) hrs Forecast

The depression is contuinous to move Northwestwards and may further intensify into a Deep Depression during next (9) hours. It is likely to reach coast of Sri Lanka towards north Tamil Nadu Coast during next (48) hours.
