8-1-2026 : According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has moved West-Northwestwards and it is centered at about 735 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco- Island (Myanmar), 250 Nautical miles Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka) and 455 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka).Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin and Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Chin and Rakhine States, scattered in Magway Region and Southern Shan State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (6°C) below March average temperatures in Mandalay and Magway Regioins, (8°C) below March average temperatures in Kachin and Chin States, (9°C) below March average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region, (11°C) to (12°C) below March average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State, about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (39°C) in Bawlakhae, (38°C) each in Taunggu, Shwegyin, Tharrawady, Nyaunglaybin, Phyu, Kyobinkauk and Theinzayet. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kyauktaw (1.18)inches, Maungdaw (1.15)inches, Saw (1.04)inches, Mindat and Paletwa (0.91)inch each, Myauk U (0.83)inch,  Moekok (0.63)inch and Lashio (0.55)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
