SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in  Kachin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Chin and Rakhine States, isolated in Bago Region and Kayah State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) below March average temperatures in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, (5°C) to (6°C) below March average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperature was (40°C) in Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kawthong (0.78)inch, Pinlaung (0.43)inch, Sittwe (0.39)inch, Tamu (0.28)inch, Machanbaw (0.24)inch, Putao and Homalin (0.20)inch each, Hakha and Tiddim (0.16)inch each and Myitkyina, Hkamti, Pakokku, Kyauktaw and Myauk U (0.11)inch each.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd March, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Chin States, isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan and Rakhine States. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuous of likelihood of rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region.
