29-6-2025: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining West Bengal, India and Bangladesh coasts still persists. It is likely to move slowly West-Northwestwards across North Odisha and West Bengal, India. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

A moderate earthquake of magnitude (5.0) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (22) miles northwest of Pongping), latitude 21.55°N, longitude 98.76°E, depth (10) kilometers, about (57) miles west-northwest of Keng Tung seismological observatory was recorded at (09)hr (56)min (45)sec M.S.T on 8^th June, 2022.
