It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean during next 24 hours. Weather is generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal, a few cloud over the Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hrs, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Chin, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan (North and South) State, isolated in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State with isolated heavy falls in Madalay Regions and  weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) above May average temperature in Ayeyarwady Region, (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago and Yangon Regions, Kachin, Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States, (2°C) above May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperature were (44°C) in Chauk, (42°C) in Aunglan, (41°C) each in Nyaung Oo, Minbu, Magway and Taungdwingyi. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kyayktaw (1.89)inches, Paugn (1.73)inches, Nyaung Oo (1.61)inches, Thaton (1.38)inches, Minbu (0.98)inches, Nyauntone (0.87)inch, Kanbalu and Magway (0.71) inch each.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
