27-10-2025:According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “MONTHA” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwest and reached over the Southwest Bay and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about 515 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 260 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Chennai(India), 305 Nautical miles Southeast of Kakinada (India). It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may intensify Severe Cyclonic Storm may form on 28-10-2025 and may cross Andhra Pradesh Coast on that night. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 1st July, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Kachin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainly is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6 - 9) feet in Deltaic and Rakhine Coast and (4 - 7) feet in Gulf of Mottama and Mon - Taninthayi Coast.
