SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past
(24) hours, rain orthundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay
and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin,Shan, Chin, Kayin and Mon States, weather has
been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.Day temperatures were
(5°C) below March average temperature in Eastern Shan State, (4°C) below
March average temperature in Kayah State and about March average
temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day
temperatures were (40°C) in Theinzayet, (39°C) each in Kyobinkauk,
Chauk and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were
Ngathaichaung (0.75) inch,Falam (0.16) inch, Hakha (0.12) inch, Hkamti
and Yay (0.08) inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy in the South Bay and
partly cloudy in the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 29th March, 2015: Rain or thundershowers
are likely to be isolated in Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and
Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Northern Shan and Chin States, weather will be
partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (60%).
STATE OF THE SEA:Strong easterly winds with moderate to rough sea are
likely at times off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in
strong easterly wind may reach (35) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in
Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of likelihood of isolated rain
or thundershowers in the Upper Myanmar areas.
