22-5-2024:  According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal off north Tamil Nadu-South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India still persists. It is likely to move northeastwards and intensify into a Depression over Central Bay of Bengal around 24-5-2024. Thereafter, it may continue to move northeastwards, further intensify and reach Northeast and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal around 25-5-2024 evening. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Water level forecast for First (10) days of September 2017

The water levels of Ayeyarwady river are forecast to rise about (4 - 7) feet at Myitkyina, Bhamo, Shwegu, Katha and Thabeikkyin, about (2 - 4) feet at Mandalay, Sagaing, Myinmu, Pakokku and NyaungOo, and forecast to fall about (3 – 5) feet at Chauk, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Pyay, Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalun during the first (10) days of September.

 The water levels of Chindwin river are forecast to rise about (6 - 8) feet at Hkamti, Homalin and Phaungpyin, and about (3- 5) feet at Mawlaik, Kalewa, Minkin, Kani and Monywa during the first (10) days of September.
