8-1-2026 : According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has moved West-Northwestwards and it is centered at about 735 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco- Island (Myanmar), 250 Nautical miles Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka) and 455 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka).Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Conditon

  A low pressure may form over the Bay of Bengal and it may further intensify into a depression. Monsoon will be moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

 Rain condition and Rainy Day

Rain or thundershowers will be above normal in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay,  Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Tanintharyi Regions and Southern and Eastern Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and below normal in Rakhine State and about normal in NayPyiTaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin States.

Rainy days are expected about (7) to (10) days in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Tanintharyi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and  (3) to (6) days in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State.
