It is likely to move west–northwestwards towards Sri Lanka and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean during next 24 hours. Weather is generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal, a few cloud over the Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

                A Low Pressure Area may form over the Bay of Bengal. Monsoon will be moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain Conditions and Rainy Days

Rain or thundershowers will be likely above normal in Naypyitaw, (Northern and Eastern) Shan and Chin States, below normal in Lower Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and about normal in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Northern Shan and Kayah States.

Rainy days will be  expected about (6) to (8) days in Upper Sagaing,  Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and about (3) to (5) days in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandala and Magway Regions and Shan State.
