16-2-2026:  According to the observations at 13:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area has formed over the East Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining South Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean on 18-2-2026. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

A Low Pressure Area may form over the Bay of Bengal. Southwest monsoon is likely to withdraw from Northern Myanmar Area  during (16-20) of September. Monsoon will be Weak to Moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain condition and Rainy Day 

Rain or thundershowers will be above normal in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, below normal in Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin,  Mon, Rakhine States and about normal in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Shan States.

Rainy days are expected about 7 to 10 days in Yangon, East Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Southern Shan States and about 3 to 6 days in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, West Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Northern and Eastern Shan State.
