Severe Cyclonic Storm “YAAS”
According to the observations at (03:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “YAAS”over the EastcentralBay of Bengal has moved North- Northwest wards and has further intensified into a Severe Cyclonic Storm “YAAS”. It is centered at about (330) Nautical miles Northwestof Coco Island, about (335) Nautical miles West of Pathein (Myanmar), about (205) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Paradip, about (260) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Digha(India).
It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Severe Cyclonic Storm“YAAS” is coded yellow stage.

Occasional squalls with very rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40-45)m.p.h. Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (13 -17)feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and about (9-13)feet in Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
